Library Materials in Different Languages

Have you ever wanted to read a book or watch a DVD in a language other than English? You can find them at the library!

Here at Holman Library, we have lots of materials to help you improve your skills in languages other than English such as dictionaries, phrase books and grammar books. To find them, use the Library Catalog. Then choose "Subject List" and type in the language you are looking for.

The results will show you the types of materials we have in that language.

Then you can look at the individual titles and find the materials in the library.

The King County Library System has many, many materials in a variety of languages. If you are a speaker of another language, you should get a KCLS card today. Each branch specializes in different languages, but you can also have any material brought to the closest library. It's a great service that you should be taking advantage of! Our closest libraries have materials in the followingforeign languages:

Kent: Arabic, Chinese, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Panjabi, Polish, Russian, Somali, Spanish, Tagalog, Ukranian, Vietnamese

Auburn: Russian, Spanish, Ukranian

A complete list of libraries and their foreign language collections is located on the KCLS website.

If you need help locating materials, placing holds to have library items delivered to your branch, or anything else related to foreign language materials, please ask a librarian!
