The year and half long Presidential race is going to come to a quick end in just a few days. For those of you who have ALREADY VOTED and are looking for a way to escape the information overload, watch a Presidential Film.
Here are a few suggestions:
Lincoln (2012) Dir. Steven Spielberg. Staring Daniel Day-Lewis. A biopic that shows the political process Lincoln went through to emancipate the slave. This is a must see.
John Adams (2008) Staring Paul Giamatti and Laura Linney. This is a six-part miniseries documenting the impact and influence of John Adams on the founding of the country and his presidency.
JFK (1991) Dir. Oliver Stone. Staring Kevin Costner, Kevin Bacon and Tommy Lee Jones. While this film is more about the assassination of John F. Kennedy, this political thriller is sure to keep you entertained.
You can find these DVDs, and many more, in our DVD collection on the second floor of the library.
