No Office? No Problem!
Student Abdullahi Hussein had a need for an alternative to Microsoft Word so that he could do course work on his laptop. At the Reference Desk, the librarian told him about one possibility: free, open source software called OpenOffice, and helped him to download a copy. The librarian asked skilled Holman Library IT student assistant, DJ Bedell, to lend Mr. Hussein a hand as he installed his fresh copy of Open Office and configured it for use.
“ As a Green River student, I want to say “Thank you” to the librarian for his help. Also, DJ was a wonderful helper; he likes to help people!”

Librarian to the Rescue!
“I was doing biology research and found some suitable article titles for my topic, but I could not find the full text of the articles. I asked the librarian at the front desk and she was able to get the full text for me from another library so that I could complete my assignment on time. Thanks very much for your help!”
